Dulce periculum ( latin phrase: Live life on the edge)
I haven't written any post for a while. The garden has had some setbacks and some new turns. Some plants have grown and others have not thrived. Overall, it is becoming established and I keep trying to think of ways to make it more beautiful. I'll add some pictures for you to see. I also started a garden group in my neighborhood. It's great talking with plant people and when we hang out, it's really interesting to feed off each others energy. The latin phrase "Dulce Periculum" reminds me of my garden. All the plants are living on the edge. Literally, they are hanging and sometimes they do fall. I also fall sometimes trying to get to a certain area. I'm not sure they had this in mind when they coined this phrase. One doesn't really think about gardening when one thinks about living life on the edge, but so many plants do seem to thrive on the edge. Have you ever notices that?
